Evan Taylor graduated from the University of Oklahoma Law School with his Juris Doctorate. He is admitted to all Oklahoma State Courts and to the Federal District Court for Western District of Oklahoma. Originally from Ponca City, Oklahoma, he and his family make their home in Norman, Oklahoma where they have lived since 2003. He is involved in the Cleveland County Bar Association as well as Norman Sooner Rotary Club. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Center for Children and Families, Inc.
Evan Taylor formerly served in the United States Peace Corp as a English Language instructor in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia from 2000-2002. He speaks fluent Russian. (по настоящему). Prior to serving in the Peace Corps, Evan attended Oklahoma State University where he received Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
Evan Taylor worked for the Norman law firm of Shaeffer, Shaeffer and Kernal, where he handled appellate briefs, legal research, and administrative hearings. He left Shaeffer, Shaeffer and Kernal in 2005 to start his own practice in Norman where he handles primarily divorce, family law and child custody cases.
He writes and speaks on legal issues. Most recently he has published an article on guardianship of minors in the Oklahoma Bar Journal Family Law edition. He also spoke at the Oklahoma Paralegal Association’s 2011 Annual Conference.
